ASKAP J173608.2−321635, nicknamed 'Andy's Object,' is an unidentified astronomical radio source located in the Galactic Center of the Milky Way. Discovered by Ziteng (Andy) Wang from the University of Sydney, it was detected six times between January and September 2020 using the Australian Square Kilometer Array Pathfinder and MeerKAT radio telescopes. Its lack of a counterpart at multiple wavelengths suggests it may represent a new class of astronomical object.

The research received funding from the Australian Research Council, the U.S. National Science Foundation, the European Research Council, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, and the University of Sydney’s Sydney Informatics Hub.
